Sieboldii seeds - Barnhaven hybrids

Hand-pollinated seed from the named Barnhaven strains of Primula sieboldii or Sakurasô. Barnhaven sieboldii are the result of years of rigorous selection and hand-pollination to guarantee plants that are very hardy, vigorous garden plants with strong stems.

Primula sieboldii have a reputation for being difficult to germinate but we don't find them more difficult than other primula seed. We tend to sow them very early in the year and it is essential to keep the seeds cold before sowing. For more information, have a look at our page on Sowing.
