Primula pulchella
This small farinose species primula has deep blue/ mauve flowers with a yellow eye. It's leaves which are mealy on the underside die back to a resting bud in the winter. They are found in the wild in Yunnan and Tibet., growing in dry grassy limestone meadow. they will best be cultivated in the garden in troughs pots or raised beds that can imitate their natural habitat. Try adding limestone chippings to the soil.
