These are quite special plants. Not only do have the gold-laced or silver-laced flowers but they are also a jack-in-the-green form. This means the flowers are surrounded by an attractive ruff of green leaves. (i.e. the calix has turned into leaves). A sought after form by plant enthusiasts but they are also a floriferous garden plant. This is a Barnhaven seed strain.
Flowering period: Late winter – mid-spring.
Culture: borders or pots in partial shade.
Soil: rich, damp soil. Will appreciate regular feeding and dividing.
